Day 37 August 18 Cody WY

Today was our day to tour the Buffalo Bill Center of the West, a world class museum affiliated with the Smithsonian Institute. Most of us arrived just in time to catch the Raptor Show where we met a red-tailed hawk, a great horned owl, and a bald eagle (all rescue birds) and learned a great deal about each one.

After the raptors we  each toured our favorite parts of this world-class museum at our own pace, some to the Buffalo Bill Museum, some to the Plains Indian Museum, some to the Draper Natural History Museum,  some to the Whitney Western Art Museum, and some to the Cody firearms Museum.  Some even came back the next day to catch anything  missed  the first time around.

That evening, many of us visited the Gasthaus Cardi, a German restaurant in town.  While the food and service got mixed reviews, a good time was had by all.

Yes, there were swings in the bar.
